The Hawaii Food Systems Leadership Series (HFSLS) is an initiative that convenes leaders across Hawaii’s food system to share perspectives, experiences, and insights that inform action towards improving food security, resilience, access, health, and economic development throughout the state.

We collaborate with local food-systems experts to derive insights about Hawaii’s food sector and provide businesses, NGO’s, and institutions with deep-dives into the most pressing issues surrounding Hawaii’s food system.

Research

Each article and partner is specifically designed and curated to address an issue surrounding Hawaii’s food system. Our research is based on a mix of proprietary data and research and publicly available information.

Insights

Insights are developed through a structured process of analyzing data and information, identifying patterns, and connecting them to the broader context in which things occur in Hawaii’s food system.
